My story begins with a little girl who learned to stay safe by hiding behind locked doors of isolation and solitude. I was truly longing for connection and intimacy but all I knew how to do was protect myself by keeping everyone out. Through the power of story work, I was able to embrace this story as one of great survival, but of limited provision. It takes great courage to step beyond the proverbial locked doors. AND it is the path to the flourishing life of intimacy and connection that I am longing for. We all have stories of survival and when we embrace these stories, we can open doors to a future beyond expectation.
Coaching was a natural progression of my professional life. I have been pursuing a profession as a wounded healer since my undergrad in Psychology. I am fascinated by people and relationships and how the mind works. Life has brought a variety of experiences to me from nearly 15 years of marriage, traversing many large obstacles along the way, working at a group home for adolescent girls, Directing a preschool, raising and homeschooling 3 children and coaching in workshops across the country.
